  • A Featherston Booktown event. John Hellemans shares the ups and downs of the hilarious cycling adventures captured in his book, A Biker’s Tale, with his fellow elite sportsperson, Professor Roger Robinson. The book was written as John cycled the gruelling 3000km Tour Aotearoa.

  • A Featherston Organics Event. Dr. Jessica Hutchings will be here to talk on her journey after the film. Jessica has a farm in Kaitoke growing Hua Parakore produce. Hua Parakore provides a framework using Indigenous values – Māori principles – for producing natural food without chemical inputs or GMO. It also encapsulates the Māori worldview in its approach to how food growers are verified as Hua Parakore, with principles that require practitioners to deeply consider such things as their connection with the land, its energy, the many species living on it, and their community.

  • Dan the Man is cranking up the Spit Roast and throwing some sausages on the BBQ – join us for a bite to eat, a cool one and best of ALL some quality conversation with other like minded car enthusiasts interested in growing our group and getting involved in events that will show case Featherston and what our great Community can offer. So folks shine up the chrome and polish the paint - bring the Car/Bike out for a run, park up & join us for a catch up – PLUS - an all car photo shoot (we need some cool photo’s of all the cars together) and swap ideas for whats next on the horizon. Have look in the ‘Promo tent‘ see dates of our upcoming cruises, events & what else is planned for the next couple of months to support the ‘WHEELS & DEALS’ SWAP MEET & CAR SHOW planned for February 2022.

The pizza's and dessert will be made from organic vegetarian ingredients. TaraLee Freeman will be our guest speaker. TaraLee is a finalist in the World of Wearable Arts (WOW).   • A REAP Wairarapa course. Bring along your device and become confident using it. This course will cover the basics of using your device, online safety, and using common apps such as email, calendar, messaging and video messaging. This course will run for 6 weeks on Friday afternoons starting 5th November. This gives you a chance to practice over the weekend while it is fresh in your mind.

  • A Featherston Organics Event. Due to COVID levels we have rescheduled this event to 6 November. Sarah Andersen Clay is an expert at using anything out of the garden and wild foraging. She has found that fermentation of food is excellent for gut health. Sarah will show us how to make bread and cultured butter. A great night of delicious organically grown food and recipes. We will be having lunch so please bring your addition to add to the lunch foods that have been made.
