The Chicken and Frog Bookstore is the 7th and newest bookshop to open in Featherston.

It specialises in new children's books, with a carefully curated stock of NZ non-fiction, a large Te reo Maori section, as well as wonderful Picture books and Chapter books. The books cover birth to about age 12.

The shop layout is themed to help children see books in context. It's a great place to visit for grandparents, parents, children and anyone needing a gift for a child.

Displays and events are regularly held; a celebration of poetry in August, visiting authors in September and October, and in store activities to keep children busy.
